Description
The impeller components are complex, especially the curved, twisted blades, requiring high precision and challenging machining.
Five-axis CNC machining is employed. Each blade has a complex,
three-dimensional curved surface. Simultaneous tool direction control at multiple angles is required.
Conventional three- or four-axis machine tools are unable to achieve high-quality blade machining.
For internal structures that are difficult to machine, sinker electro-discharge machining (EDM) may be used.
The impeller is black anodized for improved corrosion and wear resistance.
